Candidates will be expected to function effectively within a collaborative, team-based model that supports rapid escalation of care when clinical acuity increases; manage hospital labor assessment, obstetric triage, and admission; oversee normal and abnormal labor, including advanced fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation; and perform cervical ripening and labor induction. Candidates will be expected to provide medical services at University of Washington-affiliated hospitals and to assist in the training of student midwives, medical students, and residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including instruction in the management of high-acuity intrapartum care.
