SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains \u2013 air, land, sea, space and cyber.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Works as part of a larger Agile software development team to rapidly provide operational capabilities to the field</li><li>Develops software that is heavily used DoD wide and by US Special Operations Forces (SOF) with a high demand for additional features</li><li>Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions</li><li>Define software/and or system architecture, design software modules, and produce associated documentation per corporate or customer standards</li><li>Ensures software standards are met</li><li>Write and test software modules and integrate with other software and/or hardware components</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program</li><li>Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience</li><li>Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools</li><li>Conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices</li><li>Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams</li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required</li></ul>Qualifications We Prefer:<ul><li>Understanding of industry standard software languages such as C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash</li><li>Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build</li><li>Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral</li><li>Familiarity with data structures</li></ul>This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. We are excited for you to consider the possibility of joining us for a long-term internship. Our interns are accepted through Young Life and will work with an experienced Young Life Military/Club Beyond staff person. Interns have the opportunity to serve either in the United States or in Europe. The Club Beyond supervising staff person gives direction and trains the intern as they assist with many aspects of the ministry. Activities include camps, clubs, Bible studies as well as just "hanging out" with kids and modeling a personal example of Jesus Christ. A desire to love and serve kids should be a priority.This is where you can be the difference in a military teen’s life! By being in their world, walking alongside them, and creating a community where they experience the truth of God’s love and purpose for them, our staff provide a safe space where teens can develop friendships and connections to experience laughter, build hope, and generate resiliency.We are currently providing incarnational ministry at many military installations around the world. You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Training: Meet weekly with supervising staff using Club Beyond team agenda tools.</li><li>Direct Ministry: Participate in leadership with a team to conduct Club Beyond club and small group ministry to teens with excellence.</li><li>Spiritual Development: Develop a 90-day personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word. Attend Chapel on installation as often as you are in community.</li><li>Leadership Development: Attend volunteer leader meetings. Meet weekly with one volunteer to discuss their involvement in Club Beyond. Meet with your supervisor and learn how to recruit and train new leaders and build a leadership team that reflects the diversity of the community.</li><li>Resource Development: Discuss with your supervisor raising financial support, both the benefits and the challenges. Communicate monthly updates with personal donor partners.</li><li>Be a role model (incarnational/relational ministry) and assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to believing teens, and leading and equipping volunteers for "hands-on" middle and high school Christian youth ministry.</li><li>Be respectful of and embrace a community that is deeply influenced by a military culture.</li><li>In this ministry, you will need to live out the Club Beyond Core Value Statement:</li></ul>Club Beyond is a Christ-centered community of leaders with an exclusively military focus.
