DescriptionOpportunity Summary:We are seeking remote 1099, Independent Contract Therapists to join our growing network supporting veterans, military members and their dependents. In this role the therapist will provide a full range of psychological services to include psychological assessment, diagnostic, and evidence-based treatment services.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provides individual and group interventions to support patients that are coping with health psychology presentations related to mental health diagnoses (e.g., sleep, pain, adherence to medical regimen, adjustment to illness), psychosocial stressors, grief or phase of life difficulties (e.g., discrimination, stress management, coping with loss, transition to civilian life), and mild-moderate severe mental health presentations.</li><li>Provide cognitive screening to address specific functional and/or cognitive ability questions.</li><li>Provides immediate access to clinical assessment and appropriate collaborative care and treatment for those experiencing mental health symptoms or behavioral health issues.</li><li>Provides individual and group interventions to support patients that are coping with health psychology presentations (e.g., sleep, pain, adherence to medical regimen, adjustment to illness), psychosocial stressors, grief or phase of life difficulties (e.g., discrimination, stress management, coping with loss, transition to civilian life), and mild-moderate mental health presentations.</li><li>Provides cognitive screenings to address specific functional and/or cognitive ability questions as indicated.</li><li>Must independently complete through psychosocial assessments to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of the patient and their families.</li><li>Must possess a working knowledge and experience in use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures including acute, chronic, and traumatic illnesses, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.</li><li>Follow suicide prevention guidelines and risk assessment documentation and training requirements.</li><li>Completes thorough psychosocial assessments and includes pertinent information in all the required areas of functioning in order to determine appropriate diagnoses and other treatment-related conclusions.</li><li>Provides a Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) diagnosis to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and/or their families.</li><li>Provides emergency/crisis interventions that are provided to the patient to stabilize. Engages in rapid assessments and develops crisis management plans.</li><li>Provides psychotherapy as individual, group &/or family interventions when clinically indicated/appropriate and when of therapeutic benefit to the recipients.</li><li>Maintains knowledge of Veteran's benefits and services, community resources, and process for making appropriate referrals to community and other governmental programs or agencies.</li><li>Provides case management services to the patient and their families throughout the continuum of care.</li><li>Adheres to the clients regulations regarding documentation and completion of encounters.</li></ul>RequirementsRequirements:<ul><li>Licensure: Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state; Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)</li><li>Psychologist: Must have PsyPact in addition to state license.</li><li>Education: Depending on license type, must have either a master's degree in social work, counseling or related field from an accredited program or a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program.</li><li>Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience practicing therapy independently</li><li>Preferred experience: Experience providing therapy to with veterans and military members.</li><li>The therapist has experience in providing consultation about mental health diagnosis and appropriate treatment plans to professionals representing a variety of disciplines, particularly concerning psychiatrically and medically complex patients.</li><li>The therapist has familiarity with the full range of DSM5 clinical presentations and experience with associated brief, evidence based psychological intervention for mild, moderate and severe presentations.</li><li>The therapist has general knowledge regarding mental health assessment and treatment.</li><li>The therapist has general knowledge regarding Substance Use Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Serious Mental Illness (SMI); and skill/experience with treating patients within a Veterans' Hospital PTSD and MHC setting who may present with all forms of Mental Health and Behavioral Health concerns and comorbidities.</li><li>The therapist has assessment and intervention skills, as well as some specialized experience with Evidence-Based Treatment.</li><li>Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.</li><li>The therapist has knowledge of thorough risk assessment and mental health crises procedures and should have skill in leading interdisciplinary treatment teams in intervening in patient mental health crises.</li><li>Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records</li><li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)</li><li>Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.</li></ul>Preferred Modalities For Depression:<ul><li>Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)</li><li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (generalist)</li><li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)</li><li>Interpersonal Therapy</li><li>Problem-Solving Therapy</li><li>Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT)</li><li>Short-term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy</li></ul>Preferred Modalities For Trauma:<ul><li>Cognitive Processing Therapy</li><li>Prolonged Exposure (PE)</li><li>Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)</li><li>Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills training</li><li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)</li><li>Training related to the management of suicide risk (e.g., CBT for Suicide Prevention)</li></ul>Pay for this role: $70-$92 per hour. program teams to support integrated service delivery, outreach initiatives, and operational alignment.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, activity reporting, and program documentation in accordance with contractual, operational, and reporting requirements.</li><li>Exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing regional priorities, stakeholder engagement efforts, and outreach activities
