Overview:
The Miller Writing Center (MWC) invites applications for peer consultants, who assist fellow students with writing and communication projects through one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions. Successful candidates will begin asynchronous online training in May 2026 and start to tutor in the writing center in August 2026, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years. We’re looking for consultants who want to keep learning themselves and who are committed to helping writers learn strategies and make choices, not just polishing a draft. The MWC seeks to employ students with different language backgrounds, life experiences, areas of expertise, knowledge, perspectives, and strengths. The lessons will be delivered asynchronously, so they can fit into other summer work.
