Responsibilities: <ul><li>This role is a combination of maintenance/preventative maintenance (70%) and IT Troubleshooting (30%)</li><li>Install and maintain data center devices including servers and/or software</li><li>Complete daily walkthroughs, inventory, and system checks</li><li>Maintain records of all events and logs and submit daily and weekly reports to the off-site team</li><li>Provide practical troubleshooting solutions and get ahead of problems before they start with basic hardware (ASIC)</li><li>Receive and ship data center equipment</li><li>Rack and install incoming equipment in a timely manner</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills</li><li>Positive and professional demeanor</li><li>Training will be provided. Underpinning these strengths is an unwavering commitment to safety and to sustainable development, further enhancing the value that Covia delivers to all its stakeholders. Covia is looking for a dynamic Category Manager who will have a positive impact on our team at our Independence Ohio location.  The Category Manager will be responsible for managing Covia’s MRO and Mining services spend across 35 facilities in the US and Canada.  The individual will be responsible for managing budget, generating cost savings, running strategic sourcing events, managing supplier relationships, and contracting with preferred suppliers.  The individual will work closely with the purchasing operations group on execution of projects and compliance to strategy.  The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Manage all aspect of procurement for selected categories such as power transmission, electrical supplies, PPE, Industrial Supplies, OEM parts, Repair Labor Services and Mining Services for over 40 industrial locations in the US and Canada. This includes the following:
<ul><li>Develop and manage vendor relationships and performance</li><li>Oversee/manage the strategic sourcing process</li><li>Manage portfolio of contracts, including partnering with Legal department on contract negotiations with new and existing vendors.</li></ul></li><li>Manage pricing and ensure accurate pricing in Covia’s ERP on the core list of parts.</li><li>Ensure efficient use of punch out, hosted catalogs and EDI.</li><li>Develop Forecast for Budget and review monthly variances with leadership.</li><li>Work closely with key stakeholders at both the Corporate and plant level to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.</li><li>Coordinate with buyer group to ensure efficient process flow, and to resolve disputes.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or related field;</li><li>Supply Chain Designation such the CSCMP, CSCL, MCIPS, or program enrollment</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of the MRO industry and successful strategies for managing MRO Spend</li><li>Knowledge of the mining, industrial mineral or aggregate industry</li><li>Strong analytic skills, including strong excel skills.
