<h1>20-TON HEAVY MACHINERY OPERATOR</h1><h2>Articulated Mining Truck Operator | Autonomous Vehicle Testing</h2>Location: Sunol, CA Pay: $45.00 Per Hour (Non-Negotiable) Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts Contract Length: 1+ Year OpportunityJoin a growing autonomous vehicle operations team supporting the testing and operation of advanced mining and heavy equipment vehicles.We are hiring experienced Heavy Machinery Operators and Articulated Haul Truck Drivers to safely operate, inspect, and evaluate large autonomous mining vehicles while working closely with engineering and operations teams.This is an excellent opportunity for safety-focused operators with strong heavy equipment experience who are interested in advanced vehicle technology and autonomous systems.<hr/><h1>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>• Safely operate 20-ton articulated mining trucks and heavy fleet equipment • Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections • Complete DVIRs and report maintenance concerns promptly • Support autonomous vehicle testing and evaluation activities • Provide written and verbal feedback to engineering teams regarding vehicle performance and safety systems • Maintain strict safety and operational compliance standards • Assist with hardware and software testing activities • Operate additional fleet vehicles and equipment as needed • Travel up to 5%–50% when required to support testing operations<hr/><h1>QUALIFICATIONS</h1>• Minimum 5 years of verifiable heavy machinery operating experience • Experience operating and backing large 20-ton vehicles • Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and inspections • Ability to drive and operate equipment for extended periods • Clean driving record required • Ability to pass:<ul><li>Background Check</li><li>Road Test</li><li>DOT Physical</li><li>Drug Screening • Professional attitude with strong communication skills • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions</li></ul><hr/><h1>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h1>• CDL Class A License preferred but not required • Experience with articulated haul trucks, mining vehicles, excavators, or bulldozers(5 years of verifiable) • Interest in autonomous vehicle technology and advanced driver systems<hr/><h1>WORK SCHEDULE</h1>12-hour rotating shift schedule:Week 1: • 3 Days On / 4 Days OffWeek 2: • 4 Days On / 3 Days OffTraining may take place in Sunnyvale, CA during the first week. This role will report to Sr. Director, Reliability Engineering.Location: This position will be fully Onsite based in San Jose, CARole and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform root-cause analyses for field return solid oxide fuel cell products to drive reliability improvement.</li><li>Develop reliability test plans of solid oxide fuel cell products for continuous improvement.</li><li>Gather and validate data from multiple databases using Python, SQL or other methods to complete analyses on performance, reliability and degradation for Bloom Energy fuel cell systems.</li><li>Work with others in Quality, Product Development, Field Service and Remote Monitoring to gather and analyze information to support root cause and corrective actions of product failures and other operational incidents.</li><li>Support efforts to improve data collection and databases for effective and efficient analysis.</li><li>Develop methods to automate repeated analyses to allow for effective and efficient monitoring of fleet performance and reliability metrics.</li><li>Develop reliability block diagram and Monte Carlo simulations and provide data to Product development, Service, Marketing, Finance and others to support predictions of service replacements and costs associated with supporting Bloom Energy fuel cell products.</li><li>Organize data input into Excel and JMP statistical analysis package to complete critical reliability analyses.</li><li>Work with Service, Operations, Quality Engineering and Product Development to interpret the results of analyses to lead continuous improvement of product performance, degradation and reliability.</li><li>Create PowerPoint presentations summarizing the analyses completed with assumptions, conclusions and recommendations for customer and internal audiences.</li></ul>Skills and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Reliability or Systems engineering with 5 years of relevant experience</li><li>Preferable track of study or work experience in Reliability Engineering and / or data analytics.</li><li>Familiar with data mining skills including expertise in SQL and Python with discipline and attention to detail for data and analysis, validation and accuracy. </li><li>Familiar with data analysis using JMP, Minitab or other statistical analysis programs and Tableau for data visualization.</li><li>Reliability Block Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, or Markov modelling using Reliasoft or other modelling software is a plus.</li><li>Perform Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) using Six Sigma or 8D methods to solve complex problems working with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Strong PC and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience to enable the creation of professional reliability reports and presentations.</li></ul>For more information visit: www.bloomenergy.com and view a video on What Powers Us!Bloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
