Mitigate risks, align stakeholders, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.</li><li>Support system-level requirement definition and drive low-level control requirement decomposition.</li><li>Perform dynamic analysis of non-linear systems in development of control algorithms including system identification, controllability, robustness, stability, and optimization.</li><li>Support the development and calibration of physics-based plant models. Utilize models for design exploration, control system analysis, verification, and validation.</li><li>Develop & execute unit-tests & integration tests for control system</li><li>Perform hands-on testing in psychrometric laboratory and analyze results to direct refinements to plant model fidelity and control algorithms</li><li>Apply best-in-class strategies to push testing further upstream in the development lifecycle (MIL/SIL/HIL)</li><li>Support strategic initiatives to improve organizational quality and efficiency through technology advancement and process improvement.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>B.S. in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of controls system experience</li><li>OR: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of controls system experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Proficient knowledge of controls engineering foundations, including feedback control, linear/nonlinear control, multivariable control, system identification, and optimization.</li><li>Proficient in the use of MATLAB-based toolsets to design, implement, and test embedded controls algorithms</li><li>Experience with industrial control applications</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results through effective teamwork.</li><li>Experience with vapor-compression cycles, including heat exchangers and turbomachinery compression technologies.</li><li>Experience in requirements management and system integration, specifically test strategies across model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) domains.</li><li>Strong technical writing skills with ability to produce clear, concise documentation</li><li>Experience with software development lifecycle practices, including version control, change management, release management.</li><li>Familiarity with PLC-based or embedded control architectures.</li><li>Familiar with system optimization techniques and their application to modeling and system design.</li><li>Knowledge of acauasal modeling languages such as Modelica.</li></ul>Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually.
