This position is crucial toachievingthe highest customer satisfaction by performing dutiesin accordance withcurrent vendor practices and our companys policies and procedures./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pul liEnsure Service Department growth and profitabilityby forecasting goals andobjectivesfor the department and strives to meet them./li liHire, train, motivate, counsel, andmonitorthe performance of all service department staff./li liPrepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department./li liMaintainreporting systems required by general management and the factory./li liAttendInternationals Parts and Service Managers annual meeting./li liMonitor and control the performance of the department usingappropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys./li liStrive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments./li liDevelop and implement a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business./li liUnderstand, keep abreast of, andcomplies withfederal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc./li liUnderstand and ensures compliance with all International and vendor policies and warranty procedures./li liHold weekly department meetings./li liEnsure the service staff employees areperformingtheir dutiesas outlined in theappropriate jobdescriptions./li liDirect and schedule the activities of all department employees./li liFacilitate and/or conduct technical training and sends employees toappropriate trainingschools as needed./li liMonitor technicians daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records./li liProcess payroll and send time sheets toappropriatedepartmentin a timely manner./li liMonitor andfollowup on parts orders with the parts manager to ensure availability./li liInitial all repair orders beforesubmittingthem to the warranty department,monitoringsales and hoursrelativeto expectations./li liReview warranty performance statements on ISIS monthly./li liReview warranty charge backs with Warranty Administrator weekly./li liReview the over60 dayswarranty debits weekly to ensure payment./li liReview open repair orders over30 daystoinsureclosure and payment./li liReview C.O.D repair orders to ensure the vehicle and keys are on premises./li liKeep abreast of all warranty policies and product changes tomaintaineffectiveness in this role./li liReview and sign off on all Service Department outside purchases charged to the Service Departmentor a customer repair order./li liInform repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order./li liMaintain high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conductsperiodic spot checks of completedrepair orders, noting technician comments, technician sign off, repair completion and road test completion./li liEnsure thatcurrentandrequiredtools arepurchasedas necessary./li liEnsure proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools./li liEnsurethat the work areas and customer waitingareaare kept clean./li liEstablish andmaintaingood working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities./li liServe asliaisonwith factory representatives./li liEnsure that customers service files are up-to-date and readily available for reference./li liEnsure that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and timerequiredfor repairs and maintenance./li liPrepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations./li liHandle customer complaintsimmediatelyand according todealershipsguidelines./li liEstablish andmaintain24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experienceand encourages repeat and repeat bonus./li liInvestigatethe progress of vehicle completion by conducting periodic spot checks of all jobs throughout the day to ensuretimelyrepairs, qualityworkmanshipand cleanliness./li liMaintainasafe work environmentandprofessional appearance./li/ul
