A security officer's responsibilities include carrying out unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (inside and/or outside), managing access and egress, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, producing reports, stopping misconduct and criminal activity, and performing other tasks as outlined in post orders. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
