This role requires a deep understanding of the software technology industry, particularly the SaaS space, and the ability to navigate and mitigate legal risks while achieving favorable terms for the company. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in contract negotiation and a proven track record of successfully closing high-stakes deals.You will: <ul><li>Lead and manage the end-to-end contract negotiation process for complex technology agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, and professional services contracts.</li><li>Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, procurement, finance, and product teams, to understand business objectives and ensure alignment in contract terms.</li><li>Identify and mitigate legal risks by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.</li><li>Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on contractual matters and potential impacts on business operations.</li><li>Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for contract negotiation and management.</li><li>Conduct thorough analysis of contractual terms to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations.</li><li>Manage relationships with external legal counsel, when necessary, to support complex negotiations and disputes.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and legal developments affecting the technology and SaaS sectors.</li></ul>You have: <ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract negotiation, with a focus on the software technology industry and SaaS agreements.</li><li>Strong understanding of US software licensing, SaaS, and technology procurement contracts.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex, high-value deals.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to  effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>Proficiency in contract management software and Google platform.</li><li>Experience implementing and operating a Contract Lifecycle Management system (CLM). Ironclad specifically is a plus. </li></ul>You will have an advantage if:<ul><li>Experience working in a Fortune 500 software technology company or a similar large-scale global enterprise.</li><li>Knowledge of international contract law and experience negotiating cross-border agreements.</li><li>Global experience and experience negotiating in multiple jurisdictions.</li><li>Certification in contract management (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)).</li><li>GenAI redlining is a plus.</li></ul>Salary Range: $112,000 - $139,000In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above.
