Identifies personal/professional development goals and commits to life-long learning for self and staff to maintain current knowledge in nursing and leadership/management practices through learning activities such as, continuing education, networking with professional colleagues, membership and involvement in professional nursing organizations, self-study, professional reading, certification, and seeking advanced degrees. The Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations and productivity and assists the Nursing Manager in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring policies and procedures, budgets, and the allocation of resources, quality/performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and shared governance councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
