Assists with the installation, maintenance, and operation of traffic signals and related components including: traffic signals, battery back-up systems, variable message signs, computerized traffic control systems, school zone flasher assemblies, warning flashers, traffic signal controllers, vehicle detection systems, time clocks, surveillance cameras, fiber optic cable, radio communication system components, Ethernet network communication equipment, emergency vehicle detectors, pedestrian signals, and related other related devices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; completion of a certificate program at a Technical college in a related field; supplemented by two (2) years' experience using hand tools, general construction, and traffic signal construction and maintenance; OR High school diploma or GED; supplemented by six (6) years' experience using hand tools, general construction, and traffic signal construction and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
