Perform equipment inspections; inspects and tests all equipment systems, including drive train, engine operation, transmission operation, suspension, steering, brakes, hydraulics, electrical system, and HVAC; completes or revises work order for repairs; obtains (pulls, fabricates, or orders) required parts; and inspects completed work. Duties include: Operate or use various machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments; operates and maintains maintenance equipment; maintains a mechanics toolbox; and maintains equipment-specific tools.
