Under direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) will provide direct patient care and comprehensive coordination of care for medical oncology patients and their families/caregivers, to eliminate barriers to timely care, facilitate flow through system, facilitate interactions with other physician offices, increase patient and provider satisfaction, maintain point of contact with other provider offices and serve as the first point of contact for patients and families. This position is a registered nurse with expertise in oncology and assessment, who acts as clinician (providing direct and indirect patient care), care coordinator, patient / family educator and counselor to achieve optimal patient outcomes for patients with cancer.
