Per Diem Stroke APPs respond to Code Stroke activations, manage acute neurologic patients across multiple inpatient settings, and collaborate closely with vascular neurologists, emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, nursing, radiology, pharmacy, rehabilitation services, and other members of the healthcare team. Working a minimum commitment of one 12-hour shift per week, the Per Diem APP functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary stroke team, providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute stroke and other neurologic emergencies.
