5 + years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant preferred but not required BLS, ACLS, ATLS PALS, completion of annual NIHSS and stroke CME Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergency. The ED NP/PA is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
