Working in collaboration with perioperative medicine physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia professionals, surgeons, pharmacists, and other members of the care team, the Registered Nurse performs comprehensive preoperative nursing assessments, identifies and escalates clinical concerns, coordinates ordered testing and consultations, reinforces individualized optimization plans, and helps patients successfully prepare for elective surgery. This position requires excellent nursing judgment, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication and care-coordination skills, and a willingness to help build and continuously improve a new model for evaluating and preparing patients for surgery.
