Collects, reports and documents objective and subjective data;

Summary: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.

Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machine, Hoyer lift with weight scale, Abbott glucometer, computers on wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps. Common diagnoses/treatments include CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post-cardiac cath care.

p>Intermediate Neonatal RNs will be able to provide nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with Level I-Level III patients or function as a Stork RN in Labor and Delivery, depending on staffing needs to best satisfy the Women's and Children's divisions. As the region's only Children's Hospital, this hospital within a hospital has a total 197 beds and bassinets, including a Level IV NICU, quaternary PICU with ECMO capabilities, a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, and a specialized critical care transport team.
In conjunction with Manager, prepares clinical staff time schedules, ensuring adequate staffing of the unit and provides assistance in covering staff absences. Ensures that care/service delivered to each patient is appropriate and in accordance with Physician orders, departmental policies, and with full consideration of patient safety needs.
