Job Title: Intern, Nutrition & Education Programs  Location: Indiana, PAWages: $20 per hourDo you have a passion for community-based engagement and education? Are you pursuing a career in Nutrition, Agriculture, or Public Health? Come and join the Adagio Health team as a Nutrition Intern. As an intern, you will support projects related to Nutrition & Education Programs, including implementing Adagio Health's EAT Farm Fresh project and Teaching Kitchens. These projectsare part of a larger initiative, which aims to increase the redemption of FMNP benefits at farmers'markets and increase nutritionknowledge, culinaryskills, and consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables to program participants.You will participate in pop-up markets at WIC/Senior Center sites and promote FMNP benefits among Senior and WIC participants through food demonstrations, tastings, and educational materials. You will also lead and conduct hands on cooking classes at participating senior centers and community locations. Where Will You WorkThe Nutrition Intern will be based in the Indiana County Adagio Health WIC Office in Indiana, PA,and willtravel to support the operations of pop-up markets and cooking classes at partnering Senior Centers.Daily Duties:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Find local produce suppliers for pop-up farmers' markets.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Build and maintain relationships with local farmers and markets.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' ,">Schedule and organize pop-up market events, produce pick-up times, and class schedules.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' ,">Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of hands-on cooking classes (including grocery shopping)</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Run the pop-up markets, manage inventory, prepare food tastings, and track payments.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Collect data required for SNAP-Ed grant compliance and internal evaluations.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Assist customers with FMNP benefits, eligible produce, and redemption locations.</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Provide nutrition education to target population.</li></ul>What We Expect:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">A background in agriculture, nutrition, dietetics, or public health</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Displaying teamwork and collaboration while effectively working independently</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Ability to execute tasks, adhere to established guidelines and processes</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Skills in project management and tracking process flow</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Strong written and oral communication</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Office</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Maintain professional conduct and presentation</li></ul>What You Will Receive:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' ,">$20.00/hour wage +travel reimbursement</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">A fantastic summer position that will last from June2026 through August 2026. </li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-family:'verdana'"><li style="font-size:10.5pt">Full –time hours; 5 days/week (6-8 hr days) </li></ul>Important Note: Intern positions do not include benefits and are not eligible for paid leave, paid holidays, retirement, and/or any insurance. ABOUT ADAGIO HEALTH INC.For over 50 years, Adagio Health has provided health, wellness, and nutrition services across Pennsylvania.
