This position reports to the Region Manager.   The Supervisory Dietitian is the Chief (General Manager) of Canteen and Patient Dining Services.  This position will be responsible for all areas of the canteen’s operations, including the cafe, retail store, vending sales, merchandise accountability, and overall canteen management. Verification of credentials must be provided.</li><li>Able to demonstrate successful operating accomplishments and possess excellent leadership and managerial skills.</li><li>Skill in applying nutritional knowledge to ensure menus meet nutrition standards.</li><li>Ability to utilize Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guidelines to develop, implement, and coordinate best practices and to ensure compliance.</li><li>A proven leader who can effectively plan, organize, delegate, direct, control, and review activities and performance.</li><li>Capacity to interpret data and translate insights into actionable decisions.</li><li>A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.</li></ul>   As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
