For obstetric ultrasound examinations and procedures: Sets up ultrasound and procedure equipment; positions patient appropriately; operates ultrasound with or without physician guidance when appropriate (including but not limited to, amniotic fluid assessment, fetal viability, limited – detailed – and complete obstetric ultrasound, biometry and fetal wellbeing assessments, fetal Doppler studies, fetal echocardiograms, CVS, amniocentesis, first-trimester screening). In addition to maintaining a closely integrated alliance with The George Washington University and The George Washington University Hospital (GWUH) which is separately owned and operated by Universal Health Services (UHS), the GW MFA has active referring relationships with 12 area hospitals.
