ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE: Appropriately evaluates (initially and periodically throughout care) client in areas of range of motion/flexibility; postural alignment, muscle strength and endurance; sensation, reflexes, neurovascular status; soft tissue, bony palpation, passive joint mobilization; body mechanics and work efficiency; wound care; cardiopulmonary function; sitting and standing balance; mobility and gait training; and safety. Treats clients to develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical means such as: therapeutic exercise, range of motion, coordination exercise, balance exercise, gait and transfer training with various weight bearing, prosthetic training, modalities, and others.
What qualifications you will need:Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school with bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Maintains active Occupational Therapy Certification in the State of Colorado Maintains current certification in BLS for HealthCare Providers (in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines) Successful completion of student clinical rotation or work experience in at least one of the following settings: acute care hospital, long-term acute care facility, skilled nursing facility, and/or acute rehabilitation setting.
