We are recruiting for a full-time Boiler Technician position at INDECK Power Equipment. The Boiler Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Industrial Mechanical Boilers involving physical handling of products, machinery supplies, and equipment. Acts as Boiler Tech in the warehouse. Assists Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager in day-to-day supervision of Boiler Techs, special projects leader, and liaison between warehouse employees and Management.Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities* Must have a good working knowledge of steam and hot water boilers, burners (gas, oil & combination), associated controls & electrical circuits, combustion, and associated piping systems.* Applicant must have a background in working on industrial boiler/burner systems.* Computer knowledge is preferred, and experience in linkage less control is highly desirable.* Must be proficient with instrumentation and controls.* Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety requirements.* Performs related duties as assigned by supervision.* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Strong ability to problem-solve.* Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.* Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.* Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Education/Experience* Must be able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis; and working in confined spaces. Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools. Ability to drop and spot trailers on company lot, able to back trailers in and out of receiving dock, service bays, and maneuvers trailers in and around tight corners, on company property is also a plus* Contributes to the overall success of the Company by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualification/requirement* High school diploma or equivalent; two more years of related experience and/or training.
