We lead the way in closed die forging innovation for the aerospace, oilfield, power generation, mechanical power transmission, off-highway and railway industries.Position OverviewThe Oiler Technician is a critical member of the maintenance team, responsible for the lubrication, fluid management, and basic preventive maintenance of all heavy industrial machinery. At Canton Drop Forge, this role ensures the operational readiness and longevity of large-scale forging equipment, including steam hammers, hydraulic presses, and support systems. The successful candidate will follow a rigorous lubrication schedule to prevent downtime and mechanical failure in a demanding, high-heat industrial environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Lubrication Management: Perform manual and automated lubrication of heavy forging equipment, including steam hammers (ram guides, cylinders, and linkages) and large-capacity hydraulic presses.</li><li>Fluid Monitoring: Conduct daily inspections of oil levels, hydraulic reservoirs, and systems. Replenish fluids as necessary to maintain manufacturer-specified levels.</li><li><ul></ul>Preventive Maintenance (PM): Assist in the execution of PM check</li><li>Equipment Inspection: Identify and report potential mechanical issues, such as leaking seals, unusual vibrations, or blocked lubrication lines, discovered during routine</li><li>System Maintenance: Clean and maintain grease fittings, oilers, and replacement of lubrication pumps. Assist millwrights and mechanics in the repair of lubrication delivery</li><li>Inventory & Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organized oil storage areas. Monitor inventory of lubricants and greases, ensuring all containers are properly labeled and secondary containment is managed per environmental safety</li><li>Waste Management: Oversee the collection and proper disposal of used oils and filters in accordance with company environmental policies.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Fall Protection when working at heights, and the proper use of PPE.</li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
