The Neuro-Oncology program boasts an established clinical practice comprised of a neuro-oncologist, neurosurgeons with special expertise and interest in brain tumors, dedicated radiation oncology physicians with research and clinical expertise in fractionated and stereotactic radiosurgery, and a growing medical neuro-oncology practice working closely within this multidisciplinary structure. UNC Lineberger is the academic home to the cancer programs, and the clinical home is the North Carolina Cancer Hospital, a 320,000 square-foot dedicated cancer hospital opened in 2009, and across the street from UNC Lineberger.
