Valley Industries is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Accounting Supervisor to help oversee our financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support strategic decision-making. <p>Valley Industries is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented <b>Accounting Supervisor</b> to help oversee our financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and skilled at leading a team in a fast-paced environment. This position will be in office based out of our Paynesville Minnesota location. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Help Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.</li><li>Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>Help lead the month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li>Maintain and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance standards.</li><li>Manage audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.</li><li>Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Develop and mentor accounting staff; support team performance and career growth.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to support budgeting and forecasting activities.</li><li>Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).</li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience, supervisor experience preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>

<p>Valley Industries is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented <b>Accounting Clerk</b> to perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks related to accounting functions. This position supports accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable activities while ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely processing of financial information. This role will be in office based out of our Paynesville, Minnesota location. </p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform routine data entry and management of accounting records, including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable</li><li>Process EDI transactions and manage activity through customer and vendor portals</li><li>Review billing statements, invoices, and related documents for accuracy and report discrepancies to supervisory staff</li><li>Distribute accounting and financial reports as directed</li><li>Enter returned goods authorizations (RGAs) into the accounting system</li><li>Distribute customer statements on a monthly basis</li><li>Assist the Collection Manager with payment collection efforts</li><li>Assist the Accounting Manager with weekly check runs</li><li>File and maintain accounting records as needed</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Previous accounting or clerical experience preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Basic knowledge of accounting functions and data entry</li><li>Ability to work with accounting systems and electronic portals</li><li>Good organizational and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul><h3>Work Environment</h3><ul><li>Office environment with routine computer and clerical work</li><li>Regular interaction with accounting staff and internal departments</li></ul>
