Non-Tenure-Track, Lecturer; Elementary/Early Childhood Education University of North AlabamaNon-Tenure-Track, Lecturer; Elementary/Early Childhood EducationFlorence, ALMinimum qualifications include an earned master's degree in in Elementary Education or a closely-related field from an accredited institution is required and a doctorate or EdS is preferred; a closely-related field in education (i.e. Early Childhood Education, Curriculum and Instruction) will be considered if the applicant possesses a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Elementary Education; eligibility to possess teaching credentials in in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education is required; Minimum of three years of recent, successful P-6 experience is required; experience in and/or the ability to deliver online instruction is required; teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred; interest in or experience directing student research is preferred; and experience in supervision of interns in the P-12 setting is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach program-related coursework in in Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education; work with students as well as P-6 schools and administrators; develop in Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education; advise and mentor students; participate in scholarly activities; be active and involved in service to the university, college, department, program, and profession in leadership roles; and support the departments current accreditation processes.
