As the advisor and general manager, you will: Coordinate television and radio programming and studio schedules; Mentor student producers, on-air talent, and managers; Ensure efficient use of resources and high quality of programming that is publicly distributed; Work with faculty, staff, alumni, and other professionals with expertise in radio and television production and programming to provide training to students; Prepare and file license renewals for WICB-FM and maintain current knowledge of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and cable television regulations; Advise students on appropriate underwriting, sales, promotion, publicity and fund-raising efforts; Oversee project and operating budgets and ensure compliance with Ithaca College policies and procedures and with state and federal regulatory agencies. Maintain high visibility during working hours at the television and radio station(s), including, but not limited to, evenings and weekends; meet regularly with student staff to coordinate, guide, monitor, and evaluate television and radio operations and mentor student leaders in managerial aspects.
