Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating support programs addressing the needs of service members and their families, developing policy and procedures regarding military community and family support programs, maintaining contract oversight for total support for service members and their families, tracking all contract modifications to ensure compliance, and performing a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities, such as; assigning work to subordinates, evaluating work performance of subordinates, interviewing candidates for positions and identifying training needs of employees. This office also serves as the focal point for a broad range of quality of life and family support areas within the DoW to include family support centers, child care, youth programs, family advocacy, relocation, mobilization and deployment support, casualty and mortuary affairs, spouse employment and career opportunities, non-medical counseling and 24/7 virtual family support, state liaison on military community issues, as well as Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Resale programs.
