ResponsibilitiesConduct First Day Workshops as necessary for new studentsClosely monitor new students for appropriate activity in online and blended coursesAssist students in developing educational plans and strategies to improve student successMonitor individual student progress by utilizing tracking and reporting systemsActively prepare for and participate in campus meetings addressing student successProvide students with troubleshooting support for Canvas, third‑party tools, and/or other academic challengesAssist instructors with troubleshooting and training for both Canvas and third‑party teaching toolsProvide training and coaching to instructors to develop efficient and engaging online teaching methods, tools, and strategiesAssist the Campus Support Center and the Academic Dean with the course review process to evaluate instructor activity and effectivenessCollaborate closely with Student Affairs and other departments to identify and recommend appropriate services designed to address student needsCompile information on program services, activities, and students. Maintain accurate, organized, completed, and detailed records and develop and maintain reports as required or assignedMaintain open communication between Dean, PD's, and Student Affairs to identify high‑risk studentsContinuously monitor academically at‑risk students and record activities, progress and communications within the student management systemMaintain an encouraging, supportive, and positive attitudeProctor examinations as neededTrack and document all work and support activities to permit analysis of areas for improvementAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of an associate degree, bachelor's degree preferred, and experience in related fieldTeaching experience and experience with online learning/learning systems requiredExperience working with adult learners, first‑generation college students, and students from diverse backgroundsKnowledgeable in human dynamics: Understanding the needs and challenges of our students.
