Ability to: make appropriate decisions by applying established engineering guidelines; conduct detailed inspections of wastewater facilities, manufacturing facilities or other similar facilities; write reports, analyze data, read and interpret rules and conditions; provide effective customer service to a wide range of internal and external customers; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; work effectively with a team of engineers and scientists to protect South Dakota's water quality. Skill to: perform water quality/pollutant load modeling gained through academic or professional experience; use common productivity software such as Microsoft Office as well as other advanced software such as PowerBI, ArcGIS, etc; communicate and coordinate with other engineers and scientists, other local, state, and federal agencies, and the public.
