Examples of responsibilities:<ul><li>Serves in a research capacity for a specified department or project within the university, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:</li><li>Performs tasks related to specific function/program assigned</li><li>Assumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research area</li><li>Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives</li><li>Assists in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and/or research findings</li><li>Assists with development and evaluation of materials related to the scope of the research project</li><li>Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research and creative activities</li><li>Prepares reports as needed</li><li>Supervises/coordinates participants for data collection</li><li>Supervises/coordinates scoring of project data</li><li>Completes other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator(s)</li><li>Works on supporting ongoing research grants and assisting faculty with developing new grant applications.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with issues pertaining to research and scope of research projects</li><li>Experience with higher education research principles and practices</li><li>Experience with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and faculty</li><li>Skilled with organizing resources and establishing priorities</li><li>Skilled with planning, organization, coordination of activities</li><li>Skilled in the use of personal computer and related software applications</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul>Position Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with issues pertaining to research and scope of research projects</li><li>Experience with higher education research principles and practices</li><li>Experience with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and faculty</li><li>Skilled with organizing resources and establishing priorities</li><li>Skilled with planning, organization, coordination of activities</li><li>Skilled in the use of personal computer and related software applications</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Knowledge of dementia and related disorders</li><li>Knowledge of tau protein metabolism</li><li>Knowledge of phage-display</li><li>Knowledge of PCR</li></ul>Physical Demands<ul><li>Physical Requirements: Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable.
