Drivers may be required to sit and drive for extended periods; repeatedly enter and exit the tractor; climb ladders or steps associated with tanker equipment; bend, reach, push, pull, and handle hoses and equipment; and perform other physical activities necessary to safely load, unload, inspect, and operate assigned equipment. Because this position involves tanker and hazardous-material transportation, drivers are expected to maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow established loading, unloading, spill-prevention, and emergency procedures.
