1) Demonstrate a working knowledge of the extrusion line/equipment, including control panel(s), payoffs, takeups/traversing systems, capstans, spark testers, wire troughs, compound feed hoppers and wire accumulators or tensioning systems. A qualified Extruder Operator has knowledge of the extrusion line and accessory equipment, is capable of setting up and operating the extruder to insulate bare wire conductors, both stranded and solid, of various sizes.
