Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line blood draw, peripheral line care, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, BiPAP/CPAP management, nasal cannula and oxygen tank use, tracheostomy care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, CVA care, Heparin and PCA administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, telemetry remote monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound care/wound vac. Experience with accessing/managing ports, chest tube (Emerson/PleurEvac) management, tracheostomy care, pre/post neurosurgery, CVA, and PCA preferred.
