Assists physicians in the performance of specialized examinations by preparing equipment, syringes and contrast media, holding and turning patients, administering contrast media and passing instruments and supplies. p>License/Certification/Education: • For Nurse Practitioners: • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (preferably ACNP/AGACNP) • Current Massachusetts NP license • Board Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) • Acute Care/Critical Care clinical experience required • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration. • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests • Conduct in-depth health histories and physical examinations • Analyze data collected to determine health status and identify differential diagnoses based on history, physical exam, and clinical findings • Develop and implement care plans with physicians and patients • Manage therapeutic interventions and perform advanced procedures • Reassess and modify plan treatment plans to achieve medical and health goals • Document and communicate care outcomes and clinical findings to determine effectiveness of plan of care.
