Overview:
 Knowledge of and experience in building maintenance to include; plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry repairs, heating and air-conditioning operation and maintenance, knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Must participate in the preventive maintenance program and be completely familiar with its purpose and machinery involved</li><li>Must be able to climb ladders, be in good physical condition, use all tools in safe manner, and follow and promote company safety rules</li><li>Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for actual corrections of any hazardous conditions throughout the hotel. It is a good practice for maintenance mechanics to do their own inspections throughout the entire hotel and plan their activities based on them, report the findings to the Engineering Department</li><li>Maintenance mechanics are members of the Fire and Emergency Rescue Team; consequently they must learn their duties and responsibilities</li><li>Maintenance mechanics as well as the other members of the Engineering staff are responsible for housekeeping and cosmetics of all areas supervised by the Engineering Department</li></ul>Additional Duties & Responsibilities:<ul><li>Participate in departmental problem solving teams </li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Communicate in English with hotel guest, visitors and staff to their understanding</li><li>Provide legible communication</li><li>Compute mathematical calculations</li><li>Perform basic plumbing and HVAC techniques</li><li>Properly and safely use hand and power tools</li><li>Perform job functions with minimal supervision</li><li>Think clearly under high pressure or emergency situations</li><li>Adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements</li><li>Work cohesively as a team member</li><li>Work in and around the public in a positive and professional manner</li></ul>Experience, Education, & Licensure:<ul><li>High School graduate or G.E.D. and vocational/technical background</li><li>Valid Vehicle Operators License</li><li>Trade school or apprenticeship in general maintenance</li><li>2+ years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience</li></ul>Compensation: Base Pay Start Rate: $28.33/Hr. We offer a competitive benefit package for full-time, regular team members that includes: group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, as well as participation in a pre-tax flexible benefit plan for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement and an employee assistance program.
