This position requires you to be able to commute the Milledgeville, GA. General Description:</div><ul><li>Process improvement goals and packaging proposals.</li><li>Cost Reduction Program.</li><li>Supports Quality.</li><li>Work and communicate with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency and productivity.</li><li>Conduct Time Studies.</li><li>Program CNC equipment.</li><li>Create tooling layouts. Order specialty tooling.</li><li>Support Sales, Quality and Manufacturing goals.</li></ul><div> Detailed Description:</div><ul><li>Follow the C.I.P. philosophy. Meet yearly cost savings goal. Involve employees with cost savings projects.</li><li>Conduct LEAN APPLICATION projects (including Kaizen events, Kanban systems, 5S, Process Flow, Production Smoothing, etc).  These events will include basic levels of training for Plant Managers, Supervisors and the hourly workforce with the focus solely on creating positive financial results for the organization.</li><li>Collect information and data to report detailed information regarding the facility’s production efficiencies.</li><li>Initiate Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) to maintain and improve the performance of existing equipment including new equipment purchases to further efficiency gains for the facility.</li><li>Ensure efficiency and continuous improvement of business processes and manufacturing systems.</li><li>Perform thorough analyses and propose improvements to process, plant, and labor utilization to increase efficiencies, continuously improve process reliability, and control of production costs.</li><li>Facility layout review and improvements for best possible flow.</li><li>Warehouse layout for the most efficient inbound and outbound product flow.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div> Requirements:</div><ul><li>Prefer Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree but will consider combination of experience and education. </li><li>AutoCAD experience required.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.</li><li>Detail oriented.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Background that includes exposure to Lean Mfg., Kanban, Kaizen, 5-S, and Six Sigma methodology.</li></ul><div> Prepared by:  Kelly R.
