Paramedic duties deal with emergency medical care, which involves prompt and efficient care to a patient under the direction of a Medical Director, efficient and orderly transport of patients and information to hospitals, accurate reporting and record keeping, care of vehicles, supplies, and equipment maintenance are essential functions of this position. Perform medical techniques such as intubations, IV therapy, needle decompression of a tension pneumothorax, and knowledge of medications to include indication and contraindication of side effects and the ability to calculate the proper dosage.
