Under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, this role assists individuals with mental health conditions and/or developmental disabilities in building life skills, achieving treatment goals, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic living environment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support residents with daily living activities, including hygiene, meal preparation, medication prompts, and room upkeep.</li><li>Assist residents in developing coping skills, interpersonal communication, and healthy routines.</li><li>Observe, monitor, and document resident behaviors and report significant changes to clinical staff.</li><li>Participate in the implementation of individual service or treatment plans under clinical supervision.</li><li>Facilitate group activities, community outings, and wellness programs that promote engagement and stability.</li><li>De-escalate situations using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.</li><li>Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive residential environment at all times.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in human services, psychology, or related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum one year of experience working in a behavioral health or residential care setting strongly preferred.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check and maintain CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if needed).</li></ul>Transportation Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide transportation for consumers as needed using agency or personal vehicles.</li><li>Maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license with personal liability insurance.</li><li>Follow all agency transportation policies, including seatbelt usage, safe cellphone practices, and vehicle documentation.</li><li>Immediately report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations to appropriate personnel.</li></ul>Work Environment & Schedule:<ul><li>This position involves extended periods of walking, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 50+ pounds.</li><li>The schedule is variable and may require evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts in a 24-hour facility.</li><li>Exposure to emotionally stressful situations may occur.</li></ul>In-Service Training & Continued Education Requirements:<ul><li>Participate in all required agency in-service and ADMH trainings</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay informed on best practices in behavioral health.</li><li>Completion of onboarding and any continuing education requirements as directed by the agency or supervisor.</li><li>Completion of PCM Practitioner I or II training required based on program needs as well as recertifications as needed.</li></ul>

REQUIREMENTS FOR A REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN Valid RBT certification OR willingness to earn the RBT certification within 30 days.
