Assists patient with ordering dietary tray, setting up of patient's meal trays, basic positioning of patient, taking a ride in wheelchair and/or ambulation if patient is stable and gait has been previously determined safe by assigned staff nurse. Ability to read and understand written English communication including patient identifiers, pick and receiving location, isolation precaution notifications and other important patient information necessary to perform assigned task.

<h3>Xanitos is hiring Part Time Patient Sitters for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA. </h3><ul><li>No Medical Experience Required!</li><li>1st Shift 7:00AM-3:30PM</li><li>2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:30PM</li><li>3rd shift - 11:00PM - 7:30AM</li><li>Casual positions (8hr shift) flexible schedule available</li><li>Pay $14.50 per hour</li><li>Help save lives and join our team!</li></ul>Job Overview:Responsible for providing patient visual and audible observation of assigned patients with the alignment of a Registered Nurse (RN) and directed by the Xanitos Leadership team by completing the following duties.Daily Responsibilities:· Tasked to monitor both visually and audibly the assigned patient’s condition and behavior at all times.· Remains at the bedside of assigned patient at all times, unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.· Verbally redirects the patient from participating in at risk behaviors.· Completes observation reports at the assigned times.· Takes initiative in compassionately rendering service or responding to needs. Interacts hospitably, cheerfully, and supportively with staff, patients, visitors, and work colleagues.· Immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance, control, or other nursing interventions or exhibits unusual behavior or verbalizations. Immediately reports any potentially dangerous behavior or concerning conversations to the nurse.· Collaborates to identify and report patient safety issues. Assures patient environment is safe, reporting any safety hazards to the charge nurse. Removes visible hazards and reports, as appropriate.· Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of distress, or confusion.· Assists with keeping patient's room, safe and in an orderly fashion at all times.· Escorts patient when diagnostic testing is required.· Participates in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patient when arriving on unit and upon completion of shift assignment. Honors department’s attendance, break, behavior, dress, personal hygiene, and safety codes.· Follows all confidentiality and other regulatory requirements.· Complies with all department and hospital educational programs.· Always behaves in a Professional manner.· Assists other associates, as necessary. Responds to direction as provided.· Maintains all Xanitos company standards.· Complies with facility confidentiality and patient’s rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPAA policies and procedures.· Other duties may be assigned.Job Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty adequately. Job Summary Performs all duties that relate to incoming and outgoing telephone calls. Greets and screens all individuals whom are visiting the plant. Responsible for processing all outgoing mail. Responsible for current vendor files. Responsible for scanning and attaching of vendor invoices.Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Answer telephone in a professional manner directing all calls to individuals accurately and efficiently. Takes messages when calls cannot be placed with person requested. Redirects callers or provides necessary information when needed such as emails or directions. 2. Performs greeting functions when a Company guest or visitor arrives at the main entrance of the facility. Responsible for distribution of all visitor badges and completing of non-compete agreement. 3. Processes all outgoing mail and assures that proper postage has been placed on individual items. All morning outgoing mail is to be given to the mailman. 4. Process all incoming mail. General mail is to be opened and stamped with the date that it arrived at the facility. The mail is to be sorted and placed in employee’s mailbox. 5. Enter invoices into the DelMeia Works system. 6. Responsible to scan, attach, and file all AP invoices. 7. Maintains files for all open and closed accounts payable invoices. 8.
