The PTA helps educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques, ensuring continuity of care. Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:<ul><li>Provides therapeutic treatment in accordance with the patient’s established plan of care with a focus on functional and measurable outcomes.</li><li>Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength and balance and educate patients on home exercise programs.</li><li>Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring all devices and supplies are calibrated, clean and ready for patient sessions.</li><li>Monitors patient’s progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist</li><li>Accurately record patient treatment details, progress and any adjustments made during therapy sessions in the medical record.</li><li>Work in conjunction with physical therapists, occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care.</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program</li><li>Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant by and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.</li><li>Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other business-related software as needed.</li><li>Experience working with Electronic Health Records.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li> Ability to work well in a team environment.</li><li> Must hold and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
