p>The Part- Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – MAT / Dispensing Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. (The unavoidable, externally imposed conditions under which the work must be performed, and which create hardship for the incumbent including the frequency and duration of occurrence of physical demands, environmental conditions, demands on one’s senses, and mental demands.)
Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Plans, provides, supervises, and documents professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
The Pregnant Women with Dependent Children (PWDC) Program supports pregnant and parenting women experiencing substance use disorders by providing treatment services, parenting support, and coordinated care designed to promote recovery, family stability, and healthy child development. The Home Visitor collaborates with Family Case Managers (FCMs), Family Advocacy Centers (FACs), crisis nurseries, and other community providers when appropriate to ensure families receive the support and services needed to maintain safety and stability.
The Pregnant Women with Dependent Children (PWDC) Program supports pregnant and parenting women experiencing substance use disorders by providing treatment services, parenting education, and coordinated care that promotes recovery, family stability, and healthy pregnancies. The Doula works closely with program staff including clinicians, case managers, peer recovery specialists, and lactation consultants to ensure mothers receive coordinated support throughout pregnancy and early parenthood.
Notifies transporter to pick up patients when required (registration representative transport patients only as a last resort) and notifies Nursing Supervisor of inpatient admissions and obtains bed assignments. Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation daily (ICU, NICU) changes, ventilation tubing per departmental protocol, consults with attending physicians regarding change in procedures, equipment, medications or therapeutic cases.
