The Clinic Referral Specialist is responsible for receiving and reviewing referral orders, contacting insurance companies to verify prior approval, appropriately handling phone calls which may include entry into the EHR message center, validating insurance eligibility, entering demographics, insurance, and other pertinent information into the clinic and hospital patient accounting systems. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
