HOUR

The Sales Lead is a role model Bear Builder that has been given the additional responsibilities as a Floor Leader on Duty on designated shifts.  During those times, the Sales Lead will provide direction to Bear Builders, modeling Experience First® behaviors with a focus on achieving the store sales goals. When not designated as the Floor Leader on Duty, the Sales Lead functions as a Bear Builder.Responsibilities:Floor Leader on Duty Role:<ul><li>Be a role model to others in providing exceptional Guest service to ensure a memorable experience</li><li>Guide, support, and direct a team of associates to ensure smooth store operations and the achievement of sales goals</li><li>Model Experience First behaviors</li><li>Provide feedback to the management team to make them aware of performance and compliance issues that the CWM and AWM are responsible for addressing</li></ul>Bear Builder Role:<ul><li>Provide exceptional Guest service by Actively engage with Guests, using the Experience First Make Behaviors</li><li>Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere for Guests, fostering positive interactions, and guaranteeing that each Guest leaves satisfied with their experience</li><li>Uphold operational excellence by consistently meeting brand standards and guidelines, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience for all Guests</li><li>Display strong team commitment, being dependable, engaged, and helpful</li></ul> Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>Availability to work 15-25 hours per week</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Build-A-Bear store associate experience</li><li>Associate’s (or higher) degree in business, management, or a related field</li></ul>Behavioral Traits for Success:<ul><li>Thrives in an Experience First environment</li><li>Connects with and inspires others to achieve results</li><li>Enjoys meeting and interacting with new people</li><li>Possesses a “How can I help” attitude</li><li>Strong desire to develop, train, and support others’ success</li><li>Exercises good judgment in ambiguous situations</li><li>Displays strong initiative and self-direction</li><li>Thrives in a dynamic and changing environment</li><li>Able to remain calm when faced with challenging circumstances</li></ul>Working Environment:<ul><li>Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays</li><li>Ability to sit, stand, and move around for duration of shift</li><li>Work environments include indoor/outdoor malls, strip centers, and other retail locations</li><li>Lift > 25 pounds</li></ul>Your Performance Will Be Measured On:Your performance will be measured by your ability to support the achievement of store financial goals and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards which include but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Decision-making, judgment, and execution</li><li>Ability to create an Experience First culture for Guests and associates</li><li>Achievement of assigned goals</li><li>Consistent execution of operational standards</li><li>Stakeholder feedback</li></ul>This description is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all functions, responsibilities, skills, and abilities.
