Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/Acute Stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medications, ICP monitoring, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, ventilator management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
