Functioning as the scrub nurse by establishing and maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments and supplies, anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments and medications, and maintaining accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments. Demonstrating proficiency across multiple surgical specialties, which may include general surgery, hand surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, endoscopy, and other specialty procedures based on facility services.
