Offer functional communication, speech and language, and feeding/oral motor assessment to determine presence of a disability in these areas and (where detected) determine the current level of functioning, with consideration to the student and family needs as well as the impact of the deficit on the student’s ability to derive educational benefit. Maintain documentation of all contacts with parents/guardians, agency representatives, administration, ACT Office and colleagues regarding student progress and concerns as needed, adhering to Institute and departmental expectations, as well as guidelines established by MSDE and ASHA.
