Race when referenced in any policy of the Lynn Public Schools, whether or not specified, shall include traits historically associated with race, including, but not limited to, hair texture, hair type, hair length and protective hairstyles. Lynn Public Schools is dedicated to the goal of strengthening an environment and school culture that honors and celebrates diversity and responds effectively to the social-emotional experiences of every student and family.
