Overview*** This position is on-site in Memphis, TN *** Summary  The Baptist University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Memphis, TN, is seeking a full-time, open-rank faculty member in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Pathology. This non-tenure-track role involves teaching Pathology across the curriculum, contributing to assessment and curriculum development, engaging in scholarly activity and service, and supporting the mission of preparing well-rounded physicians.   Responsibilities<ul><li>Participate in teaching, scholarly activities, and service in the Osteopathic School of Medicine with a goal of producing competent and holistic Physicians</li><li>Participate and/or direct multidisciplinary curricular courses and formative and summative assessment of learners predominantly in the first and second years of the Osteopathic medical curriculum</li><li>Provide instructional experiences that support the mission and goals of the College and University</li><li>Work with leadership to assess educational outcomes and use data to perform quality improvement of instructional methodology and curriculum</li><li>Full-time, non-tenure track, exempt position under the administrative direction of the Biomedical Science Department Chair and Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs</li><li>May occasionally require hours beyond an 8-hour workday</li><li>Distribution of time to be spent in Teaching, Research & Scholarly Activity, Service, Administration, and Clinical Practice (if applicable) negotiated annually based on faculty career goals, college and administrative needs, and meeting accreditation standards. </li></ul> Requirements, Preferences and Experience<ul><li>DO, MD, or PhD in a designated biomedical science field (Pathology) in a related or academically appropriate area from an accredited institution with demonstrated experience in teaching, preferably at a medical school</li><li>Commitment to support the mission and vision of Baptist University Health Sciences</li><li>Proficiency using computers with applications such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)</li><li>Ability to stand or sit for periods of time, stand, walk and bend intermittently through the day in university environment with moderate fluctuations in noise and temperature.</li><li>Must successfully complete and pass requisite pre-employment drug screen/physical and background check</li><li>Unrestricted certification/licensure to teach/practice in the State of Tennessee; if DO or MD, must have ability to obtain an active and unrestricted medical license in the state where clinical activities occur</li><li>Track record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and/or research</li><li>Robust research portfolio or peer-reviewed publications</li><li>Evidence of a national and/or international reputation in given field</li><li>Participation in professional and community organizations  </li></ul>

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our multidisciplinary team. This part-time role allows you to make a meaningful difference in a Clinic setting with the support of an experienced supervising SLP.<hr/><h2>Position Summary</h2>The SLPA will assist in delivering speech and language therapy services, implement treatment plans, collect session data, and collaborate with educators, clinicians, and families. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic about supporting children with diverse communication needs.<hr/><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Provide direct speech and language therapy to children under the supervision of a licensed SLP.</li><li>Support intervention goals related to articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.</li><li>Assist in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.</li><li>Work collaboratively across clinic-based environment.</li><li>Collect, document, and maintain accurate data on client progress.</li><li>Assist with speech and language screenings (not evaluations).</li><li>Prepare therapy materials, visual supports, and activities.</li><li>Communicate effectively with supervising SLP, teachers, BCBAs, RBTs, parents, and caregivers.</li><li>Follow ASHA guidelines, state regulations, and HIPAA/FERPA confidentiality standards.</li></ul><hr/><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or a related field.</li><li>Current SLPA license/registration (as required by state).</li><li>Experience working in school, clinical, or pediatric settings preferred.</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to follow treatment plans and accept supervision effectively.</li></ul><hr/><h2>What We Offer</h2><ul><li>Part-time schedule with flexible hours</li><li>Supportive team environment</li><li>Opportunities to work across varied settings</li><li>Professional growth and training opportunities</li></ul> #hc220474

Minimum Qualifications:
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP/A) must hold or be eligible for a Tennessee Department of Education license.(PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED) Degree Equivalency Formula:Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
